Meet Dr. Jenee Kaplan

Dr. Jenee Kaplan
Dr. Kaplan was introduced to the profession of Orthodontics at a young age through her father, who is a practicing Orthodontist in California. Some of her fondest memories are the times she spent sitting at his workbench in their garage as he taught her how to make retainers. Memories like these, and the desire to use her talents to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, are what ultimately guided her towards pursuing a career in Orthodontics. Dr. Kaplan attended La Sierra University in Riverside, California to obtain her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. After graduation, she continued her education at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Science and graduated near the top of her class. Dr. Kaplan was then accepted into the highly competitive Orthodontic Residency Program at Loma Linda where she earned her Master’s degree.
Orthodontics is a profession that is continually changing, with new technology and advances in treatment techniques emerging every year. Dr. Kaplan actively pursues continuing education in Colorado as well as internationally. Whether it’s state-of-the-art aligner technology, clear self-ligating brackets, or orthognathic surgery for bite correction and sleep apnea, she is passionate about providing the most advanced orthodontic care and treatment options available to ensure that her patients have a fantastic orthodontic experience and receive amazing results.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Kaplan loves spending time at the gym working out and lifting weights with her husband, Chad. She also enjoys playing the ukulele with her boys and watching them excel in their swimming lessons. However, traveling with her family to different parts of the world and experiencing new places is one of her favorite activities.

Orthodontics is a constantly evolving field, with new technology and advances in treatment techniques emerging each year. Dr. Kaplan is committed to staying at the forefront of these changes through ongoing education and training. She regularly attends conferences and seminars, both locally and internationally, to learn about the latest treatment options and provide the best possible care for her patients. Dr. Kaplan has attended conferences hosted by the American Association of Orthodontics, Invisalign®, and Damon® Forum, among others. She also participates in online webinars and stays up to date with the latest research in the American Journal of Orthodontics.

Dr. Kaplan is a proud member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Colorado Orthodontic Association, and the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontics. She also serves on the board of the Colorado Springs Dental Society and is a member of the Colorado Dental Association.
Family and Community
When she's not working, Dr. Kaplan loves spending time with her family and staying active. She and her husband, Dr. Chad Watts, have four children and enjoy playing lacrosse and soccer together. Dr. Kaplan is also an avid traveler and enjoys experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. She and Dr. Watts founded the El Paso County chapter of Smile for a Lifetime, which provides free orthodontic treatment to children in need, and volunteer their services to Kids in Need of Dentistry.
